EMILY IS FORGIVEN if she doesn’t recall her first two Christmas parties in HK. She was barely three months old when we went to Dr Yong and Christine’s lunch on Christmas Day. Emily slept through a good part of the afternoon amidst the cosy Christmas atmosphere, friendly chatters and the delicious food served.
The following year, we brought the kids down to the park for our building’s Christmas do on 11 December. Setting the mood were lighted Christmas trees, poinsettias, food and wine, Danny the building manager as Santa, and a Christmas gift for each child.
While I am at it, these are memories of her Christmases back home.
